You’ve been told that God is your Heavenly Father, and He wants to give you Himself – the very best there is, (Lk. 11:11) but how attached are you to this Father of yours? Go deeper to get to know your Father better and you will be amazed at how confident and secure you will become.

Attach To Your Father

On a scale of 1-100, with 1 being “I cannot imagine God as a father figure” and 100 being the “I relate to God as Father as Jesus did,” where would you plot yourself on the scale? Make it your mission to move your number closer to 100 by determining to allow this Father to love you in the perfect way no humanly father can.

Challenge Your Doubts

Make a list of all the rules, exceptions, and doubts that keep you from being convinced that He loves you unconditionally and wants to be your doting Father through every crisis you could ever face. Find a Bible study or partner to help you find the True rebuttal to each item on your list.

Your Maker’s Purpose

Why were you created by your Father? Being aware of and discovering your life’s purpose gives you the most sustaining significance you could ever experience. Ask yourself if God had a personal mission statement just for you, what would it be? If you are still discovering the personal details of your life’s mission, revisit it on a regular basis to see how God is filling it in for you, and to help you fine tune your prayers to receive more clarity from Him.

He wants to reveal His plans and Himself as Father to you!  The Lord God Almighty gives thoughts to mankind and offers wisdom in quiet, secret encounters with Him. (Amos. 4:13, Ps. 51:6, Jer. 29:13)
