Blessed for coming and going

Blessed for Coming and Going

I find it so helpful to know that my every action is either in obedience or disobedience to the one true God (Deuteronomy 28). Not wanting to be disobedient to God helps motivate me to the right decisions when my emotions would have me choose otherwise. And, He promises I will be blessed for my coming and going in Him (v. 6). Examples of the blessings awaiting me in my obedience are: 1) the close presence of the promise-keeping, grace-giving, sovereign God with me in it all (Psalm 15:1-2) and 2) knowing I’ll get better at serving Him, since grace adds more grace (John 1:16) and obedience begets more obedience (Hosea 10:12).

With hope,
