Try Out a Better Parent

Even the most amazing parent falls short. And even if your parents raised you well, they may have missed some needs that were important to your upbringing. Or worse yet, maybe you grew up with damaging or absent parenting. There’s redemption for your childhood no matter how good or bad it was.

Shift Everyone’s Roles

  • Earthly parents were never meant to fulfill a child’s expectations for perfection. That role for a perfect parent can only be met and sustained by Him according to His ways. (Ps. 138:2)
  • To those who receive Him, He gives the right to become His children. (Jn. 1:12)
  • Release your parents from your expectations and you will be free to allow God to be the heavenly Father that He longs to be for you.

Learn How To Be His Child

  • Be a child who knows where to find your parent. He’s in your bible. (Jn. 1:2)
  • If you’re a child who needs a security blanket, you can find that comfort in Him, in his Word. (Ps. 119:52)
  • If you’re looking for answers and rift-fillers, the revealing Word has the facts. (Dt. 29:29)
  • If you need to learn, His Word is supernaturally powerful to teach, instruct, and re-parent you. (2 Tim. 3:16)
  • If you’re longing for the best possible outcome, the Word is the only parenting method ever proven to be without flaw. (Ps. 18:30)
  • If you’ve always wanted a parent to stand up for you and defend you, He will pick up His Sword of the Spirit and fight your fights. (Eph. 6:17)
  • To experience the healthiest attachment possible, allow the living Word of God to come and live inside of you. (1 Jn. 2:14)
  • When you think you know what you need and no one else seems to be there for you, the all-knowing Father in heaven precisely knows what you need now (Mt. 6:32)
  • It’s never too late for you to ask your heavenly Father to raise you to become the child of your dreams, the best you.

God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. (Eph. 1:5 NLT)
